One Time Yard Cleanup in Austin, TX
One time dog poop cleanup across Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park and Pflugerville. $40 for the first bucket, $20 each additional. No contract.
Most people who call us for a one time cleanup are not looking for a subscription. Something specific happened. The yard got away from them over a long summer, or a rental is turning over, or family is coming in and the back yard is currently not an option. The job is finite and it needs to be done once, properly.
The easiest way to explain what you are buying is to walk you through the visit itself, start to finish.
What one visit actually looks like
We arrive
You get a heads up before we show up, and you do not need to be home. This is the part that surprises people most often: the overwhelming majority of our one time cleanups happen with nobody there. We need to reach the yard, and that is it.
Our scooper parks, checks the address and the notes on the job, and pulls buckets and tools out of the truck before going anywhere near the gate. In Austin that means one more check first, which is the weather. A South Austin yard in 78745 the day after a heavy rain works differently than the same yard in a dry August week, and knowing which one we are walking into determines how we work it.
We open the gate, and we look before we step
The scooper opens the gate and stops. Before any sweeping starts, we do a quick read of the yard: where the dogs actually go, how tall the grass is, whether there is a leaf layer, whether there are toys, low hanging branches, sprinkler heads, or anything else that we should not be stepping through. If your dog is out, we do not enter. We will call or text you.
On a yard that has gone a long time without attention, this is also where the scooper gets an honest sense of volume, which matters for what you pay. We tell you if the estimate is going to move before we finish, not after.
The sweep pattern
We do not wander a yard. Our crews work it in overlapping parallel passes, like mowing, starting on one edge and walking the full width before stepping over and coming back. The overlap is the point. A single loop around the perimeter and a diagonal through the middle is how a yard ends up ninety percent clean and still unusable.
Then we work the places waste actually collects, which are rarely the middle of the lawn. Fence lines. Behind the AC unit. Under the deck edge. The strip along the house where nothing grows. In older Austin neighborhoods there is almost always a shaded side yard between the house and the fence that gets used heavily and looked at never.
Central Texas adds a couple of local complications. In a Hill Country yard around Lakeway or Bee Cave, the soil is thin over limestone and a lot of lots have caliche, rock, and native ground cover instead of continuous turf, so waste ends up wedged in rocky edges rather than sitting on grass. On the east side of town, in heavy clay, waste that sat through a wet stretch presses into the ground and has to be worked up rather than lifted. Either way the scooper is not done until the passes come up empty.
Disposal
Everything goes into contractor grade bags in a sealed bucket, and the bucket goes onto our truck. We haul it off your property. Nothing gets left in your trash can, and nothing gets tucked behind the shed for later, unless you specifically ask us to use your bin. Tools get cleaned between properties, which matters more than people think when you are moving between yards with different dogs.
Gate check, and then you hear from us
The last thing that happens before the scooper leaves is the gate. Closed, latched, and physically pulled on to confirm. This is the single most important step in the whole visit and we treat it that way.
Then you get a notification that the job is complete. You come home to a finished yard and a message telling you it is finished, rather than having to go look.
Who this is for
A one time cleanup fits a specific set of situations:
- A yard that got ahead of you. Usually after a long Austin summer, when it was too hot to be out there and easier to keep putting off.
- Moving in or moving out. Both directions. Nobody wants to inherit the last tenant's back yard, and nobody wants it held against their deposit.
- A property being listed or shown. A yard that cannot be walked is a yard that does not sell well.
- Before an event. A graduation party, a family visit, a backyard get together in the spring or fall when Austin weather is actually worth being outside for.
- A trial run. Plenty of people book a cleanup once, see the difference, and move to recurring service afterward. There is no obligation either way.
Where we come out
We handle one time cleanups and one off pet waste removal in Austin and the surrounding area: Austin, Cedar Park, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Round Rock, and Pflugerville. That covers central ZIP codes including 78701 and 78703, South Austin in 78704 and 78745, the east side in 78741 and 78753, north Austin in 78727, and the northwest and Hill Country stretch in 78717, 78726, 78613, and 78681.
If you have been searching for a pooper scooper service near me and putting it off, that is normal. Most one time cleanups we do are for yards that waited longer than the owner wanted to admit. It is not a problem, and nobody on our crew is going to make a thing of it.
Pricing
One time cleanups are priced by volume, which is the fairest way to do it for a job where the yards vary enormously. It is $40 for the first 5 gallon bucket and $20 for each additional bucket. A small yard cleaned every few weeks that got skipped for a month is usually one bucket. A large yard with multiple dogs that has gone untouched since spring is more.
That structure means you are not paying a flat rate for a job that turned out small, and we are not guessing at a number over the phone. If you want a firm estimate before we come out, tell us the yard size, the number of dogs, and roughly how long it has been, and we can get close.
