Event Pooper Scooper Services in Northeast Ohio

Pre-event yard cleanup across Akron, Canton, Salem, Kent, and Boardman. Book before a party, wedding, graduation, or showing. From $45.

An event cleanup is a different job than a routine visit, and the difference is the clock. Nobody books this because the yard has generally gotten away from them. They book it because there is a date, guests are coming, and the lawn is about to be walked on by people in good shoes.

So here is how one of these visits runs, in order, from the truck pulling up to the message that says the yard is ready.

We schedule against your event, not our route

Before anything else, we ask when guests arrive. A cleanup done four days before a Saturday graduation party is not the same as one done Friday afternoon, and for events we would rather be close to the date. We slot the visit as near to your event as the schedule allows, and we tell you honestly if we cannot get tight to it rather than booking you and hoping.

If the yard is going to be tented, staged, or set with rented tables, tell us that too. We would rather be there before the rental truck than after it.

Arrival and the walk around

We park, and we walk the whole work area once before starting. On an event job that walk has a specific purpose: we are figuring out where guests will actually be. The path from the driveway to the back gate, the patio and the grass immediately around it, the lawn where chairs or a tent will go, the strip along the fence where kids will end up. Those areas get treated as priority ground.

In a Northeast Ohio summer that walk also tells us how wet the ground is. Humid stretches here keep low spots soft for days after a storm, and soft ground changes how carefully we work an area you are about to put furniture on.

The gate

We open it, note how it was latched, and check whether a dog is out. If one is, we call rather than go in. Event days often mean extra doors opening and people coming and going, so if your dog will be loose in the yard while we are working, tell us in advance and we will plan around it.

The sweep

We walk the yard in overlapping lines end to end, then turn and cross it again on the other axis. Two passes at right angles, because what you miss walking one direction you catch walking the other, particularly in longer grass or late day light.

Then the edges, which is where event cleanups earn their money. Fence lines, under the deck and the deck stairs, mulch beds, around the shed, the tree line, and anywhere the grass has been left taller. Guests find these spots. Specifically, guests' shoes find them.

Disposal

Everything goes into buckets and bags and leaves with us. It does not go into your trash can on the day you are hosting, and it does not sit at the curb where your guests will park. Equipment is sanitized between properties.

Weather, and what we do about it

Ohio weather does not care about your event date. A summer storm can roll through Akron in the afternoon and leave the yard soaked an hour before people arrive, and a wet yard hides more than a dry one does. If rain lands between our visit and your event, tell us. Depending on the schedule we may be able to come back through, and if we cannot, we will say so rather than leave you guessing.

The same goes for early spring events. A March or April date sits right in the middle of the thaw, when a yard can give up months of accumulation in a matter of days. If your event falls in that window, book earlier than you think you need to and plan on a heavier first visit.

Gate check and confirmation

We reset every gate we touched exactly the way we found it, then message you that the yard is clear. You do not need to be home for any of it. A lot of event cleanups happen while people are out buying ice.

Who this is for

  • Backyard weddings, receptions, and rehearsal dinners
  • Graduation parties, which run heavy here through late May and June
  • Cookouts, birthdays, and holiday weekends when the yard suddenly has forty people on it
  • Open houses, listing photos, and showings, where a yard has to look and smell right on a specific morning
  • Family gatherings where small kids will be crawling on the grass
  • Dog friendly gatherings and fundraisers, where cleanup is needed after guests leave rather than before they arrive

For a dog friendly event, we can come after rather than before, or both. Say which when you book.

What it costs

Event cleanups are priced as a one time job. That starts at $45.00, which covers the visit and the first five gallon bucket removed, plus $20.00 for each additional bucket we haul away. A yard that is normally kept up and just needs a pre party pass usually lands at the low end. A yard that has not been touched since the thaw will take more.

These are starting points. Tell us your dog count and roughly how long it has been and we can give you a realistic number before we arrive, so there is nothing unexpected on a day you already have enough to think about.

Book before your date

Event slots tie to a specific day, so earlier is better, especially on summer weekends when everyone in the Akron and Youngstown areas is hosting something.
