One Time Yard Cleanup in Northeast Ohio

One time dog poop cleanup in Akron, Canton, Salem, Kent and the Mahoning Valley. Starts at $45. No contract, no need to be home.

Most people who call us for a one time cleanup are not looking for a service. They are looking for a deadline to be met. The in laws arrive Saturday, the house goes on the market Thursday, the kids want the yard back, or winter finally ended and the back half of the property is not something anyone wants to walk across.

So rather than describe the service in the abstract, here is exactly what one of these visits looks like from the moment we pull up, start to finish.

We show up and look before we touch anything

The truck parks on the street or in the drive, and the first thing we do is walk the perimeter of the work area without a bag in hand. On a neglected yard this matters. We are reading the property: where the dog actually goes, where the grade sends water, whether there is a mulch bed or a wood line where things have been kicked or blown, whether the far corner has been used more than the rest.

That walk also tells us the size of the job. A quarter acre in Austintown that went unattended through a Northeast Ohio winter is a very different afternoon than one that got missed for a month.

The gate

We open it, and we note how it was set. Latch, slide bolt, bungee, the piece of wire somebody added because the latch stopped catching. If a dog is out, we do not go in. We would rather call you and wait five minutes than have a conversation about a dog that got past us.

If your gate has a code or a specific trick to it, tell us once and we will keep it on file. Same with a side gate that is easier to reach than the main one.

The sweep pattern

This is the part that separates a cleanup from a once over. We do not wander. We walk the yard in overlapping lines, corner to corner, then turn ninety degrees and walk it again the other way. Two passes on different axes, because waste that is invisible walking north is often obvious walking east, especially in low light or matted grass.

After that we hit the places that never fall on a grid: along the fence line, behind the shed, under the deck stairs, in the mulch beds, along the tree line. On a spring thaw yard around Salem or Alliance, where things have been flattened into wet leaf litter, that second pass and the edge work is where most of the volume comes from.

Everything leaves with us

Waste goes into contractor grade bags in five gallon buckets, and it goes into the truck. It does not go in your trash can, it does not sit at the curb, and it is not left in a pile behind the garage. We haul it off your property and dispose of it responsibly. If you would rather it went in your own bin, say so and we will do that instead. Our equipment gets sanitized between properties.

The gate check

Before we leave, we walk back to every gate we touched and set it the way we found it. Every visit, every time, including the side gate we only used once. This is a short step and it is the one we are strictest about.

You get told it is done

You get a message when the yard is clear, so you know it is safe to let the dog out before you have looked at it yourself. You do not need to be home for any of this, and most customers are not. We just need access and a warning if a dog will be loose in the yard.

Who a one time cleanup is right for

  • Spring reset after a Northeast Ohio winter, when three months of accumulation surfaces in one week
  • Getting a house ready to list or show, or clearing a yard before a walkthrough
  • Company coming, a graduation party, a cookout, or a holiday weekend
  • Moving into a place where the last residents had dogs
  • A rental turnover where the yard came back rougher than expected
  • Trying us out before committing to anything regular

There is no contract attached to it. If you decide afterward that you want us back every week or every other week, that is easy to set up, but nothing switches on automatically.

Where we come

Most of this work is dog poop clean up in Akron, Ohio and Canton, and we reach east and north from there: Salem, Columbiana, Sebring, Alliance, Louisville, North Canton, Hartville, Green, and Uniontown, up through Kent, Stow, Hudson, Streetsboro, and Ravenna, and across the Mahoning Valley through Warren, Howland Center, Niles, Mineral Ridge, McDonald, Girard, Hubbard, Austintown, Boardman, Canfield, Poland, and Struthers. Cleveland area requests are worth asking about.

That includes ZIP codes like 44224, 44236, 44241, 44420, 44446, 44512, 44632, 44641, and 44672. If you searched for dog poop removal near you and did not see your town listed, call and ask.

What a one time cleanup costs

A one time cleanup starts at $45.00. That covers the visit and the first five gallon bucket of waste we remove. Each additional bucket we haul away is $20.00. That structure exists because a yard that missed two weeks and a yard that missed two seasons are not the same job, and we would rather price the actual work than guess high on a flat rate.

Tell us how many dogs and roughly how long it has been and we can give you a realistic range before we ever show up. Nothing gets charged beyond the quote without talking to you first.
